Liverpool Tea and Scones

"Airships, Fellowships, Internships!"

The department hosted an informational session about The Liverpool John Moores University. This university is connected with Southern and offers Study abroad opportunities for students. At this event, there were tea and scones, as well as the announcement of the winner of the William Henderson and Barbara Baraw study abroad award. Barbara Baraw presented the award to Jade Serrano and Madi Csejka. The award supports students who desire to travel and learn. Barbara Baraw said, as a young girl she was very fortunate to be able to travel all around and she felt it was a huge aid in her education.

This event ended with a hilarious and fun game. The game was a guessing game hosted by Jennifer O'Reilly, who attended Liverpool John Moores University. She wrote a bunch of Liverpool slang on the board and students and faculty tried to guess what the slang meant. It was great time and had everyone laughing.
